I received this series for my birthday and just couldn't put them down. They were absolutely fabulous! I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for not only a great set of books to read, but another understand of Christ's life and his ministry. I was amazed at how much care the author put into making sure every true detail was correct.
I learned a lot from these books. I felt like I was one of those that stood in Jesus' midst as he taught parables, healed those in need, and loved all around Him. I felt like I knew His disciples and Apostles, like I was one of those He spoke with, smiles at, and taught profound lessons. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, but He's more than that. He is our brother, our friend, our guide through difficulties. He's our light in the darkness, our pathway to happiness, and our shepherd. He holds out His hand waiting for us to only reach out and take it so that He may take us home to our Father in Heaven. He has done so much for all people. I felt I was there when he prayed in the Garden, when He took up the cross, when He asked forgiveness for those who were there to put Him to death. I felt I was there when he rose from the dead and beckoned those He appeared to that they might come forward and touch his hands and feet. I felt I was one of those who was overwhelmed with the site of His face, glowing light the sun, when he appeared with a resurrected body.
I can't portray my feelings they way I want to, but I know that I have been changed. I more fully understand Christ's life and ministry. I feel closer to my Savior, closer to Heaven. I know the scriptures to be true, and now with my new understanding, I know so much more.
