100 Days

For school Ian needed to do a 100 days project for their 100th day of school.  We had a lot of fun working on his project and I was quite proud of my little guy!  He's quite the artist.  :)

Good Reads

Just a shout out for a stinkin good book!

Clean, cute and so fun to read!  If you are looking for something good read, now you've got and idea.

The Kiddos

Lately it seems to be overwhelming with both younger kids at home with me.  I can't seem to get much done and they are hyper and crazy 99.9% of the time.  Not that this isn't fun sometimes, but not ALL the time.

Here are some things they've been up to.

Sleeping in the tent in the Loft.

Playing dress up.  Kenya insisted Trey MUST be dressed up too.

He is kinda cute. :)  (I know, I'm terrible.)

Being wild and crazy.

Climbing on EV.ER.Y. Thing!  This is the table and all that white stuff is salt.  He's also been found many a time on top of the computer desk.  And the other day this little rascal threw the entire wheel barrow full of large duplo legos down the stairs.  He thought it was funny??!!

Also, though I didn't get a picture of this (I thought I would spare you all the creepiness of the situation), there was a mass hysteria from Kenya.  While I was in the shower I heard her screaming at my door.  I got out and low and behold she tells me that she has something stuck up her nose.  I have her lay down on my bed and find that she has "snuffed" a small jingle bell up her nose.  I try having her blow it out and she's screaming in pain.  I try to pull it out (not really a smart idea) and it gets pushed back further.  At this point I'm resigned to thinking we'll be headed to the doctor's or ER very quickly.  I start to call Brian and all of a sudden Kenya sneezes.  And what does she have to say, "Hey Mom!  It came out!"   Of course her hand was goobered and so I sent her to throw it away and wash up.  Boy was I grateful she sneezed.  :)

Well that's the kids craziness.  Hope you enjoyed it! :)

Christmas 2012

I promise, I am trying to stay up with the times, but I'm just not there yet.  After this super Christmas post, I'll probably be close.  Now if I can just stay caught up, we'll be all good. :)

Christmas was crazy busy and super fun!  We had a busy month of December with Trey getting sick and ending up in the hospital with RSV and Bronchiolitis for a week.  It wasn't a whole lot of fun.  But we got through that along with everyone else being sick and we made our way out to Utah for Christmas Break.

We were able to see everyone on both sides of the family while we were there (except Brian's brother, Andrew - they had just moved to Texas).  We played games, kids played in the snow, I was busy working on a few projects, and life was good.  The kids love the grandparents house.  :)

Since we didn't spend Christmas at our own home and we didn't want to haul all our gifts to Utah and back, when we got home on January 5th we had another "Christmas".  We opened stockings and gifts, played with all our new toys, and enjoyed the peace of the day, finally able to rest. :)

Ian had a whole week extra off from school and within 2 days I was praying for Monday to come so he could go back.  He was SOOO bored.  It was a long week for all of us.  But now we are back into routine and I'm very grateful for that.

Pictures of Christmas below.  :)

Our Christmas Tree with Miss Mae gazing upon it.

Kenya randomly falling asleep on the living room floor.

A blanket I crocheted for a friends Christmas gift to her mom.  It turned out so well.  I was super happy about it. What fun!

Kenya on Santa's lap at her preschool.  I failed to get the other kids with Santa this year because of all the craziness with sick kids and what not.  Maybe I'll be better next year.

Building small snowmen with daddy.

Gotta give him kisses. :)

We were all sorts of crazy busy in Utah since we were trying to visit everyone, but somehow I managed to spend a great amount of time with my mother as she taught me her wonderful craft.  It was an awesome time!  I loved spending time with her and having her teach me all her secrets.  Here are some of the projects we finished while I was there.

I'm gonna try and start my own business and I am ubber excited about it!!

Christmas morning with the cousins.

Trey's gift from Grandma & Grandpa Caldwell frightened Trey at first.

But he and Jar Jar, the giraffe, quickly became friends. :)

We also went up to Elena's house to open gifts with the King's.  It was great to have all of us in one place. :)  There was even and awesome Secret Santa who gave every single person, including the grand kids, $25.  It was insane!  No one would fess up, so we were inclined to thank 'Santa' profusely.

Since we didn't bring any of our gifts to Utah, the kids got a whole day more of Christmas when we got home. Although we had driven through the night (I know, we're crazy, but the kids travel so much better when they're sleeping) we still got up and opened presents.

Our stockings all hung by the Chimney with care.

Good Morning!! :)

Hehe... I got a RC car!

Another fluffy, cuddly stuffie!

I know Kenya doesn't look happy in any of her pictures, which I'm not sure why, but she was really excited about Christmas.

So that was Christmas!  Watch out, I'll probably have a post a day for the next week, just to catch up.  :)  Enjoy!

Oh The Things They Say...

For homework Ian needed to draw a picture and describe it.  When I asked him what he was drawing he stated, "It's humans going into a house."  Not people... Humans.  I thought that was pretty funny myself, but maybe that's just me.  :)

Just in the nick of Time

Today I became more paranoid about my daughters behaviors.  See, she was playing nicely with her little brother in her room.  She was combing his hair and making it look all nice and he was enjoying every moment of it.  I left them to their happy playing and went into the other room.  The next thing I know Kenya is rummaging through a drawer near me.  When I turn to look at her she screams "Mom, turn that way... Don't look at me!"

I realized right then what she was looking for... SCISSORS!  I luckily was able to catch her and take the scissors before any hair cutting damage was done, but now I feel that I need to keep a much closer eye on my mischievous little 4 year old.
