Pre-K Graduation
Kenya's Pre-K Graduation was today and she was so darling. She did so well during her performance and her teacher had nothing but good stuff to say about her. Her teacher nick named all the kids and Kenya was her "Drama Queen". Her teacher said that she was always so full of energy and emotion in everything ... in a good way. When the leprechauns messed up their classroom on St. Patty's day Kenya said, "Why did they do that?! That's so not nice!" Kind of a funny girl, she is.

Below are her end of year pictures. Besides the fact that I can't keep this girls hair done nice, cause the moment it's done she finds some way to mess it up, she's still super cute.
A Patriotic Performance
Several of the 1st grade classes at Ian's school did a Patriot Performance yesterday. It was fun to watch all those little ones perform and they were all so good. I wasn't able to get too many pictures, but here's what I got.
Dancing through Life
Kenya's last dance performance was just a few days ago and she was super cute and fun to watch. She's got so much energy and such personality that she sets herself apart from the rest. Enjoy the pictures and video.
Alaska
At the end of April my parents needed some help up north, so the girls and I jumped on a few planes and headed up. We were able to help and truly enjoyed our time up in Hydaburg, Alaska. It's a beautiful place with so much to do ... if you like the great outdoors, that is. :)
While there I was able to help split and collect tons of wood for my parents wood burning stove, see many Bald Eagles, two Black Bears, tons of deer, a seal, and lots of whale fins and movement in the bay. We also ate fresh crab and shrimp, halibut, salmon and trout. So yummy!
I really enjoyed the time spent with my parents and 3 younger siblings and thankfully we were able to be there when they needed us.

We had to hike through the marsh while the tide was out. It was about a 30 minute hike either way through mud, water, and marsh areas where when the tide was in it would all be covered. Because of that, we were only able to stay at the plane about 5 minutes once we got there because the tide was coming in pretty quick.
Trey sleeping on the plane. We had been flying all day and he was a fabulous little travel companion. He loved the planes and was so excited each time we got on one. He'd repeatedly say before take off "Mom, it's needs to go faster!" We flew on 4 different air-plains that day.
This was our final flight from Ketchikan to Klawock. It was a 9 seater
plane. Tiny but quite fun to fly in actually. Trey loved seeing out
the windows. Elena however was scared spit-less.
