My Personal History

Since I taught a Family History class last year, I've been thinking a lot about my own life and what I've written down.  I found this great website with tons of questions and I just wanted to share it.

My puppy

My children have been pulling at my heart strings these last few weeks.  Trey and I have had many conversations on many different days that go as follows.

Trey:  "Mom.  Where's Comet?"                                

Me:  "He's with Grandma and Grandpa in Alaska

Trey:  "Go get him."                                                     

                                              

Each conversation goes the same way.  And each one ends in his little face being disappointed and sad. 

For those of you who don't know, our beloved dog, Comet, went to live with my parents in Alaska because his heart couldn't take all the excitement in our household.  He has a heart murmur and he was having a hard time with us and I was worried we'd loose him prematurely, so I sent him to a calmer family.  We truly do miss him. 

Kenya and Ian have had similar conversations with me, but at least they are old enough to understand what I am saying when I explain to them why he's not living with us anymore.  Trey just breaks my heart over and over again... and I didn't even realize how well he knew and loved our wonderful Comet. 

My Creations

Hey all!  I just wanted to share of few of my projects with you.  I love to scrapbook and sometimes I feel like I finish a page and then it gets stashed in the book and no one looks at it.  So I think as I create a page or two I'll start posting them.  :)  That way they get seen (and I think maybe the grandparents will like seeing the pictures of the kids again... or for the first time. :))

Our December

Most of December was spent with the normal hustle and bustle of things... WAIT nope, we all got sick.  From Brian down to Trey we all spent 2 weeks lying around the house in misery, but hey we were healthy by Christmas.  :)  

Just  before we all got sick Kenya has a dance showcase at school.  Sadly my camera wasn't functioning as well as I wanted so I only got one good picture and a small tidbit of her dance.  But she was darling! :)

 I also didn't get many pictures of Christmas but just imagine children in their pj's and lots of wrapping paper all over the floors. :)  Oh... and noise, lots of noise.

Trey wasn't too happy.  He wanted to go play in the snow but didn't like being cold.  He's so my son.

New Year's Eve was a fun night for us.  We invited some friends over (and their two cute kids) and we did tons of small games for the kids.  We popped balloons, danced around the house to loud music, played real life angry birds with nerf guns and plastic cups (to shoot at) and little Uno-moo animals, had a nerf fight (which was a little dangerous at times), played candy games, slide down the stairs on cardboard boxes and more.  I was going to let the kids stay up till midnight, but they crashed around 9:30.  By that time they were watching movies and the adults were playing board games.  We stayed up till 2:30 am playing many different games and having lot of fun.  If it didn't hinder me so much to stay up and play games all night, I think I'd do it all the time. :)
