The House

I don't have many pictures yet, but we do finally own the house.  Things have worked out just great and I feel very blessed with the opportunities we've been given.  It's a beautiful house with minimal problems and we absolutely love everything about it!  On top of getting into a house, Brian let me purchase a new couch set, and I love it! 

And for your viewing pleasure, this is my beautiful dining room window and the GORGEOUS tree that's in our front yard.  For now, that will have to hold you until I can get a little more settled and get more pictures taken.  I just love seeing that beautiful tree every morning, it's awesome!

The kids wanted to eat lunch on the porch the other day when it was absolultely too beautiful for words.  How could I say no to two such adorable little faces?  :)

Can He Really Be 3?!

Ian recently turned 3 years old.  I'm not really sure where the last 3 years have gone, but here he is, growing up right before my eyes.  Since we were living in Jeremy and Jess' place I wasn't sure about throwing a party, but I think it was the best one yet.  Jess and I teamed up to make everything about it awesome!

His cake was a three layered cake that had trains on it.  Ian is in love with trains right now and it was fun to make little candy trains for his party. 

I just can't believe my little guy is getting so big.  He talks, walks, obeys, disobeys, plays, runs, builds and so much more.  When did this happen? 

Kidnapped!

My friends Korissa just moved to Georgia in January, the same time that Jessica did, and we all became the best of firends overnight.  Sadly Korissa's hubby just had an internship out here with the Atlanta Hawks and so they were only to stay temporarily.  Matt, her hubby, is currently living with us, but Korissa and her son Conner had to return to Idaho to finish her schooling.  Jess and I were extremely sad to see her go. 

This is the detailed info.  The three of us gals are the same age, and we're talking like within months of each other's birthday's, and our husbands are also in the same boat, same age.  Jess and I have 2 kids each and Korissa has 1.  The kids got along great and so did the moms and dads!  So we became this little group that always hung out.  It was AWESOME!  We just fit like glove (if that even makes any sense).  So the week before Korissa was scheduled to fly out of town, we knew we had to do something.  Since we were liveing with Jess and Jeremy it was easy to make happen. 

So, one day we're coming back from and activiy and the guys are driving in the mini van with all the kids and Jess and I are following in her car.  We pull up into the driveway and wait for the garage door to open, but as it's going up, it stops and goes back down.  We knew it was the guys, but we figured we'd try again.  Again it went up and then stopped and went back down.  Jess and I took this as a sign that the guys didn't want us around, so we put it in reverse and back down the driveway.  Jeremy is at the top of the driveway laughing and Brian starts to run after us!  It was hilarious. 

At first Jess and I thought we would just go around the block, but then we decided that we were totally gonna kidnap Korissa and go have some needed girls time.  At this time it's about 8 pm and we were headed down the road to Korissa's.  Matt wasn't home yet, but we hung out and talked till Matt came home.  All it took was two seconds while Matt was in the bedroom to grab Korissa's arm and Kidnap her.  It was perfect!  The guys kept texting us wanting to know when we were coming home, but we kept them at bay.  It was funny.  We went to Wal-Mart and spent the time just laughing and goofing off. 

Matt called Korissa and we had to head home shortly after.  We didn't think the guys had a clue as to where we were at, or so we thought.  As we climb into the car, Brian runs to the back window and bangs on it, scaring us half to death.  When I realized who it was I jumped out of the car and took off after him.  He was laughing histarically about it. 

That pretty much ended our night, but boy did we have a blast.  We're REALLY missin' ya Korissa!!

Easter Weekend

We had a fun Easter weekend witha a group of close friends.  Okay, so I'm gonna backtrack just a little bit.  Back in January two new families moved into the ward and I got to know them in February when we all met for a play date and instantly became best friends.  Sadly one of our friends has now left us to go back to school in Idaho and she is greatly missed!  Well, those two families, our family, and another of my really wonderful best friends and her family quickly became a group of friends to hang out and do lots together with.  So for Easter we all got together at one home and had and Easter Egg Hunt and Cinnamon rolls.  The kids had a blast and we really enjoyed hanging out and talking.  The cinnamon rolls were also AWESOME if I do say so myself.  :) 

Kenya was a master Egg Hunter!  She loved looking around for eggs and especially loved putting them in her little bag (and yes, I know it's a pumpkin bag). :)  She ended up crawling under the little slide and finding a few eggs to hold onto.  It was absolutely adorable!

Kenya kept collecting all of the kids eggs.  (We did and empty egg hunt so that the kids wouldn't fight over the candy, so the kids hunted, had fun, then kinda forgot about them.  It was perfect!)  She made me laugh so hard.  Kenya, my little egg hoarder.  :)

Of course Brian enjoyed himself to no end with this beautiful Golden Retriever.  My husband just loves to play, what can I say.  :)

We also let the kids color boiled eggs.  I've never really done this in my adult life before and so I wasn't quite sure how to manage 5 children with food coloring dyes sitting around them.  But it turned out great and the kids loved it.  I just loved seeing the kids dressed in adult t-shirts tossing eggs into colored water and enjoying every minute of it. 

April Fool's

Jessica and I really got into April Fools day this year and had a blast.  We decided the guys needed a good fooling and set to work figuring out our little tricks.  Brian left his lunch behind that morning and it was hot wings.  We had hoped to turn his hands and mouth bright red with the amount of food coloring we put in his food, but it didn't work.  Next we dyed my hair.  It wasn't just a simple change though, it was pretty drastic. 

Brian came home that afternoon and just looked at me.  He finally asked what

I did to my hair, but it wasn't as big a deal to him as I thought it might be.  But it was fun none-the-less.

Then we baked a pumpkin pie, I was totally feeling like a pumpkin pie, and when we fed it to the guys, we put eggshell pieces around the edges of their pie.  Jeremy bit into and eggshell right at first and was wary of us the rest of the way through his pie.  He wouldn't let it go for a couple of days either.:)  Brian on the other hand ate his entire piece of pie without any problems.  He must have just eaten right through the shells, but it made me laugh that he never bit into one. 

It was a good day of laughs and the guys were after us about it for a few days afterwards. 

Packing & Moving... yet again!

It's really not a new concept to me, but I just can't get used to moving over and over and over and OVER again.  It's really becoming old, so we did something about it.  :)  Brian and I bought a home (more details and pics to come)!  About halfway through March we started packing up all of our worldly possesions and got ready to be out of our old place by April 1st.  The kids spent a lot of the time laying on two air mattresses watching TV.  The ironic thing was that the kids really enjoyed the whole process of getting out of our old place. 

Our Landlord wanted us out on the 1st so he could fill it again, but because of complications on the sellers side of the process we didn't sign the papers till the 13th.  So where were we those 2 weeks between moving out and signing on a home?  Well, we have aquired some amazing friends that we just absolutely love to death!  Jess and Jeremy were our lifesavors and took us in for the duration of the craziness.  They have 2 little girls, the same age as our kids, and the eight of us crammed into their 3 bedroom home.  When you live in that close of proximity to each other for that long, you can get under each other's skin, but I deem the time there one big party!  We really did have a blast and enjoyed the friendship bond that formed.  There were nights when we just stayed up laughing for no particular reason, or playing games till all hours of the night at which point we were so punchy that we laughed ourselves to tears.  It was oodles of fun!
