A friend of mine posted this link on her blog and I LOVED the article. It really helped me not feel so guilty about being the perfect mom all the time, or even most of the time. I always feel like I'm not doing enough and that my kids deserve better, but I also feel like there just isn't enough time to do everything. I carry around this guilt that I'm not doing good enough an it really hurts sometimes. Then I read the above article, and I feel much better. Anyone else every feel slightly overwhelmed??

Trying to catch up.... Again! :)
See this innocent face?? Innocent NOT!! :) Okay... Maybe he is innocent, and oh so very sweet, but he's starting to bite down hard!
See those TWO teeth down there in those cute gums?? He knows how to use them, watch out. :)
Our little T-man is rolling all over the place as well. It's just a matter of time before he is crawling like a pro. He's already almost rolled down the stairs twice (don't worry, I've now put the gate up). He's a cute little mover, and he's FINALLY sleeping through the night! YAY!!
On another note, I feel like my life is super busy, but it's really not. The thing is this. My wonderful little sis lent me a ton of great books and I've been stuck in fantasy world for while. I just love to read and I happen to get trapped in the world of a book pretty easily. Just this last week I finished TWO awesome books (one in less than 24 hours) and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. I know, I'm a bit eccentric, but it's so much fun to get lost in someone else's world. Maybe one day someone will enjoy my writing as much as I enjoy others. :) So... if you are looking for a good book or two (or 20), I'll point you in the direction on my fabulous little sis!
I have a couple other exciting announcements, but you'll have to wait a week or so for them. Shhh... it's a surprise. :) Can't wait?? Well, soon enough I'll expose the truth, just wait and find out. :)

First Tooth!
Trey has been the worst sleeper out of all three of my children. Last night was a terrible night in a long string of very un-fun, terrible nights. The little guy woke up every hour the whole night. By this morning I was ready to cry I was so tired. But this morning also brought what I hope is the explanation for his insomniac behavior, his first tooth finally made it's appearance. I stuck my finger in his mouth and he chomped down and there was something sharp and hard. Violla! He's officially got a tooth poking through. So maybe now we can start getting some sleep, cause heaven's knows that if I don't start getting at least 4 hours a night I might very well go crazy.

It's Broken!!
Kenya cracks me up! This morning I did her hair in 2 piggy tail buns and she was so excited, but after some serious rough housing with her brother, the buns became loose. So she comes running up the stairs screaming, "Mommy, their broken!" At first I had no idea what she was talking about but when I looked at her I realized she was grabbing a hold of the two buns and had a mortified look on her face. I asked her what was broken and she responded, "My buns are broken! Please fix them!"
Like I said, she cracks me up! :)

Christmas Catch-up
It has been way to long since I last wrote about what's going on in our crazy life, but I'll try and catch us up.
Thanksgiving was wonderful! We drove down to Utah to visit family for the week and really enjoyed every moment. It surely ain't Thanksgiving without tons of loud, fun, family and lots of great food! :)
Trey very recently decided it was time to learn to roll over. He now rolls, but isn't moving any faster. He's pretty content to be stationary, or so it seems. Both my other children were rolling around and scooting by 5 months, but Trey is completely his own little man. :)
Trey is very into doing the 'Superman' as Ian calls it. :)
We took the kids to see Santa and Kenya was not interested in sitting on his lap. :) Ian however was very happy to be able to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas.
Ian and Kenya were so excited when we got tons of snow the Thursday before Christmas. It has snowed so much that Brian got stuck trying to drive out of our driveway to get to work and ended up not going to work (they called in a snow day). So we bundled the kids up and all played in the snow! It was a blast and the kids loved it. They even went out on their own the next day to play.
In some areas where the snow was blown higher it was as deep as Ian's waist. He had fun trudging through it.
This is our beautiful Christmas tree. (I had one of ALL of us, but for some reason it turned out blurry, so you'll just have to do with the one that doesn't have me in it. :))
The kids really got into the festivities of Christmas this year, especially since it's the first time in many years that we've been home to have our own traditions. Ian had brought home food for Rudolph from school and we took it out to spread it across the driveway. He was super excited constantly telling us that Rudolph would be there tonight to eat it. We also made cookies as a family for Santa and wrote/drew him letters. The kids loved every minute of it.
Christmas morning brought Ian into our bed at 6 am and we got him to wait until 6:30 when Kenya woke up. Then they both raced down to the tree and there were plenty of loud amazement's coming from my sweet little dears.
This is the kids helping sort the presents.
Trey opening gifts (or Brian doing it for him). :)
The cornacopia of new toys.
All in all I'd say it was a successful Christmas Day. It was wonderful to be able to go to church and listen to the wonderful Christmas day talks given by our bishopric. It really made the day wonderful and helped to keep us reminded of what Christmas is truely all about.
The day after Christmas brought us good friends for a visit. Brian's best friend from his childhood and his wife and 2 kids came up from Utah for the week after Christmas and it was a super blast having them stay with us. The kids got along great and we all had a really fun week. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
So that is that. I'll try and stay more updated on life in our home. :) Hope ya'll had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!
