And the verdict is.....

.... IT'S A BOY!!!

So we went to the doctor and got our ultrasound and apparently this little guy is a mover, not that I EVER feel him move.  But he's healthy and happy and right on schedule.  I knew that we were having a boy back at the very beginning of this pregnancy and vwolla!  I was right.  :)  (I don't get to say that very often in our home, so I take advantage of it as often as I can.)  So we'll be welcoming a little buddy for Ian into our family.  Sounds like fun!!! :)

Lots to do!!

There is so much to do and such little time to do it in.  Brian got the call from his company and we are cleared to move to Colorado.  The only catch.... they want him SOON!!  They have given us between 2-4 weeks to get him out there and so now we are scrambling to get everthing sold, packed and ready for a move.  Not to mention the house rented.  It just sends a whirl wind of emotions through me everytime I stop and think about it.  :)  But I am excited and ready for a new adventure.

Here are some pictures of the kids while Brian and I were away on our Valentine's weekend.

Valentine's Virus

So my last post was really a rant, sorry.  But I'm over it now.  Lets just chalk it up to some crazy pregnancy hormones.  Sound okay??  :)  Great!

Well, the last two weeks I spent a lot of time trying to plan and keep from Brian a surprise outing for us over the weekend before Valentines.  Brian and I have never had just an "us" get away from the kids and I thought it would be nice to have one before I became too super pregnant.  So I planned dinner, and night together and some fun events.  We had a blast!  But for all my hard work, Brian still found out about the weekend.  :)  What a nut that man is.  But he did his very best to act surprised through the whole evening (which, sadly, he's not very good at, so I knew something was up).  :)  But it was AWESOME to just have a night for us.

We had some awesome friends watch the kids while we were gone and the kids had a BLAST!!  They even got to watch a movie in a tent and go play at the park with our dog and our friends dog.  They LOVED it!  Thanks friends!!  ;)

The only bummer of the whole weekend was that somehow my laptop contracted a nasty virus.  It locked me out of EVERYTHING!!!  I was so frantic!  Luckily, we have some amazing friends that say it's fixable and are working on it for me.  Man and I blessed to have such amazing people in my life!!!  (Thanks again!!)

(I'll post pictures of the kids and our weekend when I get my laptop back with the pics on it.)

How I Feel

I'm gonna give you a fair warning before I start this topic:  If your not looking for blut honesty from me, don't ask and don't read.  :)  There, that's out.

My hubby got to listen to a pregnancy/hormone rant the other night and took it really well.  I was all tiffy about the fact that I feel like facebook is highschool garbage all over again, with everyone trying to outdo one another and sobbing about their difficulties.  Sometimes I just want to scream, "Get OVER yourself!!!  Not everyone's interested in your personal problems.  We ALL have our own problems."  I also was frustrated that when I post something (which lets be honest, is probably once a week... if lucky) that hardly anyone replies to anything I have to say.  Go figure, it's been that way most all my life.  But that's not the point.

Blogging tends to be the same way.  I post and post and don't get much, if any, feed back, but again, not surprised.

So this is what my husband had to listen to as I ranted about how high school continues after we leave it and really in reality I'm SICK of high school and everyone's attitude from high school.

After I finished ranting Brian turned to me (the gorgeous man that he is) and asked me one simple question:  "Do you blog because you want to be popular, or do you do it because you enjoy it?"

This has recently hit me.  As I still look at facebook occassionally and roll my eyes at half to most of the posts, I now look at blogging in a whole new light.  I blog because I want to, because I enjoy it, and because it's relaxing to ME.  It's not about everyone else, not about how many comments I get or who even takes a look at my blog, it's about me and my family.

I was quite appalled by a post made on facebook today.  It stated "Blogging: 'Never have so many said so much to so few.'"  Like I said, it's not about who's reading it, it's about how much the blogger enjoys it.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I just felt like being blatantly honest.  Who knows, maybe I'm the one who's crazy, but at least I'm speaking my mind and I'm enjoying it. :)

Pink or Blue??

I've borrowed the title form a good friend of mine, since we're both sitting on the same question. She just found out she's having a boy, so now I ask:

Will this one be a boy or a girl??

I'd love to hear what you think I might be having, so lets put it to a vote and see who's got some intuition (or maybe just pure luck). :)
You've got just under 3 full weeks to guess cause I go in for my next ultrasound on February 25th, so let me hear what you may think. :)
