As they say... this will be an "UBER-POST"

I know it's been a while since I clued ya'll into our lives, but let's just say, it's been a busy month. So here I go, if you get bored, I won't blame you. 

#1)  On March 2nd us Georgian's received another large snow storm, and this one was sent us a pretty large amount of white fluffy stuff. I have pictures, but there still on my camera for now.  It was kind of interesting to see that amount of snow coming down all day long.  It was GORGEOUS!  I didn't really realize how much I've missed the snow, but I loved that beautiful snow day, and I  loved that Brian was home for most of it due to the lack of good drivers in snow out here. :) 

#2)  About 2 weeks ago I came down with something awful.  I was totally out of it for like 3 days and lost all traces of my voice for a little while too.  I'm still trying to work my way back up to "normal" if there is such a thing.  Luckily Brian was able to come home and take care of me and the kids on the worst day.  What an amazing hubby!  

#3)  So, I was sick and unable to attend Enrichment the first Thursday of March and was bummed.  While I laid on the couch, covered in blankets (I was soooooo cold), watching whatever was on TV; my friends and awesome Visiting Teacher came to visit it me.  They brought me an awesome bouquet of balloon flowers and a jar of hot cocoa (which I was totally craving for that super soar throat I was having).  I was so elated to know that they cared that much for me to bring me stuff and come visit while I was sick!  Amazing people I tell ya, absolutely amazing! 

#4)  On the Friday after those same friends that brought me the balloon flowers and hot cocoa,  we all went to an Atlanta Hawks Pro Basketball Game.  My friend's hubby is interning for the team and gets 4 free tickets (and their good seats) for every game, so all of us girls went out and had a blast!  I was back to full strength yet, but I was feeling a ton better, just didn't have my voice back to full yet.  It was very scratchy and hard to talk, but I wasn't gonna let that stop me from having fun with the girls.  We screamed and laughed and danced (during the competition dance they had around the arena) and had a grand time!  Girl friends you can totally be yourself with.... FABULOUS!! 

#5)  Okay, so to the most important part, the house.  This is a long and kinda frustrating story.  So hold tight.

As I said a while back, the first house we were looking at fell through.  The inspection showed us things that we weren't ready to handle.  A leaking rook was a bit much, but the fact that 80% of the roof was leaking and needed to be replaced just finalized the drop out of that purchase.  So Brian and I set out to find a new place to make our home.  

In one day, I looked at 15 properties (with the kids in tow), narrowed it down to 5 that I liked and after Brian got off work we looked at my top 5 and decided on a finalist. 

 

This is going to be our new home  It's a 5 bed - 3 bath semi-split level home and we love it!  So here's how it went.  We started the offer process and they counter-offered, typical.  We then countered just the closing costs and agreed on their price, but they countered again and the price they countered to was ridiculous!  So we countered again and they denied us.  I was so bummed.  So I called our Real-Estate Agent and told him that we'd be happy with their last counter and they accepted that offer.  Crazy, but now it's going to be ours, so yeah.  

The inspection went great!  A few minor things that we'll have to fix at first and a few projects that we'll have to work on through out our stay in the home, but all in all, it's a fabulous home!  YEAH!!  So now we wait, which is the WORST part of this whole process.  We're scheduled to close on April 1st and if nothing stands in our way than we'll be in our house conference weekend!  I'm soooooo very excited!    (More pictures to come)  

Well, I guess that sums up that last several weeks and all the craziness we've been enjoying.
